María Navalón López

I am a Nanoscientist and Bioengineer with a Ph.D. from IQS, driven by the idea that science only creates real value when it can reach the world beyond the lab. My background focuses on nanomedicine for cancer treatment and advanced microscopy, but I’ve also grown passionate about something equally important: ensuring that innovation is well-designed, traceable, and responsible through project management and quality assurance.

My experience spans academic research, collaboration with pharmaceutical companies, and improving quality systems to help scientific outcomes move forward with clarity, strategy, and purpose. I love working at the intersection where creativity in biotechnology meets regulation, real-world needs, and societal impact.

I believe science is more than knowledge it is a bridge to well-being, an opportunity to transform reality, and a space where diverse voices are needed. That’s why I’m excited to become a mentor: to help new generations find their place in STEM, trust their abilities, and grow with curiosity, confidence, and authenticity.

Outside the lab, I spend time riding horses. Horseback riding teaches me what science also requires: patience, consistency, respect, and the understanding that progress comes from technique and trust, not force. To me, that balance reflects both a way of working and a way of living.
