Anna Cifuentes Rius

I am the Business Development Manager at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre (Peter Mac), a world leading cancer research, education and treatment centre dedicated to caring for people affected by cancer based in Melbourne Australia. In my role, I am responsible for research commercialisation, including engagement with venture capital investors and pharma/biotech companies and management of the Peter Mac IP portfolio.

Prior to Peter Mac, I have held several leadership positions in academia and biotech, mostly leading research and business development activities in nanomedicine and drug delivery. She holds a PhD in Biotechnology and Bachelor of Chemistry, both from IQS.

Among my interests, I am particularly passionate about mentoring female professionals in science and biotech, as well as driving early-stage innovations with the potential to become future therapies that improve human health.
